My name is Jessi Woska (wah-skuh) and I am a Korean-American chainstitcher, illustrator, and sewist based out of Chicago. I use a hundred year old hand crank chainstitch machine — the hand crank machine allows me to freehand embroider each design.
Because of this, every chainstitched piece is completely one of kind.
No automation, no computerization.
I am a one person production. From start to finish, you’ll be working with me directly. I sketch my own designs, construct the banners by hand, design my own packaging, chainstitch each project, and pack and ship myself.
With over eight years of full-time chainstitching experience and hundreds of live events, I’ve built a reputation for precision, consistency, and craftsmanship. I’m a freak for the details and hold both myself and my work to high standards.
I believe in quality over quantity, in precision and care over speed, in fewer and better things. Every custom piece is made to last a lifetime and beyond.
And I am so grateful that I get to do this every day.
